Coitsville: There will be funeral services on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Lowellville Christian Church, 44 E. Wood Street, Lowellville for Vivian Kay Copnaic, 77, who died Thursday, August 28, 2014 at her residence, after suffering from a long illness with her family by her side.
Vivian was born November 14, 1936 in Butler, Pennsylvania, to Clair Franklin Ervin and Daisy Mae McCullough Ervin, who preceded her in death.
She loved English horseback riding, sewing, ceramics, sculpturing, painting, gardening, canning, taking care of her family and church was the biggest part of her life. She went back to school and received a Bachelors of Arts Degree from Youngstown State University in 1991.
What Vivian valued the most in her life was her Lord and she wanted to share him not only with her family but with others as well. She spent a total of 45 years as a Sunday school teacher spread over three area churches the first being First Baptist Church in Hubbard, then the Grace Baptist Church in Youngstown, and finally, the Lowellville Christian Church in Lowellville, where she had been a member for more than 35 years.
The world she left behind is a better place because of her and she leaves behind to honor her memory, her husband of 57 years, Eugene Copanic, Sr. of Coitsville, her children: Eugene (Karen) Copanic, Jr. of Seminole, Oklahoma, Clair Franklin (Tina) Copanic of Canton, Vicki (Carl) Peffer of Campbell, Chet Copanic of Coitsville, Angel (Joseph) Romeo of Boardman, and 20 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; Vivian's identical twin sister Viola (Ervin) Bollinger of Naples, Florida; two brothers; Larry (Cheryl) Flatt of South Bend, Indiana and Wayne (Michelle) Flatt of Pittsburgh; P and many nieces and nephews, and dear friends; and many brothers and sisters in Christ. God gained a beautiful soul today and she will be sadly missed and never forgotten.
Family and friends may call Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.. at Lowellville Christian Church, Lowellville.
