Paul Roy Bacher, Jr

Poland: There will be funeral services on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman for Paul Roy Bacher, Jr., 84, formerly of Kirk Road, who died Saturday evening, November 24, 2012 at Saint Elizabeth Health Center.

Paul was born August 5, 1928 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late Paul R. and Sadie E. (Ripple) Bacher, Sr. He was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and lived in the Youngstown area his entire life.

He was a machinist for Wean United in Youngstown for 35 years, retiring in 1982.

Paul served his country in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a private licensed pilot and loved to fly. He was a member of the Saxon Club.

He is survived by four children; Gary L. (Cindy) Bacher of Denver, Colorado, Rodney L. (Jennifer) Bacher of Cooper City, Florida, Sherri L. (Greg) Vrabel of Boardman and Eric L. Bacher, of Boardman and five grandchildren.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Sadie Bacher and an infant sister.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Boardman. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m.
