Youngstown: Private Funeral Services were held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman for Mary Margaret Pellitt, 90, who died Thursday morning, August 4, 2011 at Saint Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.

She was born May 27, 1921 in Van, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late William Lloyd and Iva (Weber) Mong. Mary graduated from Rockland High School in Pennsylvania and moved to the Youngstown area in 1966.

Mary worked in child care for 25 years and as a Pre-School Aid at Youngstown Christian School for 18 years, retiring in 1998. She was a member of the First Free Methodist Church in Cornersburg. Mary was a member of the YO-MAH-OH and loved caring for dogs and cats.

Her husband Frank C. Clark whom she married on February, 1946, died September, 1960, her second husband Peter Anthony Pellitt whom she married on June 23, 1966, died December 14, 1987.

Mary is survived by four children; Clara A. (Tom) Robertson of Winter Park, Florida, Wilma J. (Bob) Padilla-Clark of Deland, Florida, Wanda J. (David) Costello of Boardman, and Peter A. Pellitt of Youngstown, four grandchildren; Brian Boughner, Michael Hilgar, Gordon Hilgar, and Melissa Boughner, and eight great grandchildren, and a sister Pearl Stover of Knox, Pennsylvania.

Besides her parents and husbands, Mary was preceded in death by a brother Harry "Bud" Mong, and two sisters Virginia Graham and Jean Bowersox.

There are no calling hours.
