Marilois M. George, 93
Boardman: There will be funeral services on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church. 471 Mathews Road in Boardman with Reverend Mark Bell officiating for Marilois M. George, 93 who passed away Monday, October 22, 2018 at Beeghly Oaks Center.
Marilois was born April 17, 1925 in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late George and M. Jean (Lathom) McFarland.
She graduated from Geneva College with a bachelor’s degree in education and from Youngstown State University with a master’s degree in education.
Marilois was a kindergarten and third grade teacher for over 30 years for Greenford Local School District, which became, South Range Local School District, before retiring in 1995.
She was a member of First Beaver Falls Reformed Presbyterian Church in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania and attended Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Boardman.
Marilois is survived by 4 children, Linda A. (Richard) McMillan of Montgomeryville, Pa., Randy K. (Denise) George of Colorada Springs, Colorada, Terri S. (Jeff) Miller of Gainesville, Florida, and Robin L. George of Boardman; 11 grandchildren, Morgan (Brian) Clinton, Matthew (Adrienne) McMillan, Alison (Thomas) Zeyl, Rebekah George, Jonathan George, Elizabeth (Robert) Dahl, Jeremy George, Anna (Mbinintsoa) Ramarolahy, Joshua George, Laura George and Emily George; 9 great grandchildren; and a sister, Martha McFarland of Boardman.
Besides her parents, Marilois was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Glen M. George whom she married on August 12, 1947, died October 19, 2003, and 2 brothers, Samuel McFarland and Philip McFarland.
Family and friends may call on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Thompson Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street in Boardman.
