YOUNGSTOWN — John H. Kegley, 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
John was born July 30, 1938, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, a son of Howard B. and Thelma (Garvin) Kegley.
He was a graduate of South High School and dedicated many years of service to R.C. Cola, where he worked as a plant manager until his retirement.
In his free time, John enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, the former Mary Jane Agar, whom he married October 29, 1956; his daughters, Jennifer Kegley (fiance Mike Sanchez) of South Carolina and Mary “Janie” Crum of Illinois; his sons, Ted (Lynn) Kegley of North Jackson, John “Buster” (Sonja) Kegley of North Lima, and Thomas Kegley of Boardman; 11 grandchildren, Morgan, Murray, and Parker Seabrook; Tibius, Jarrod, and Duncan Kegley; Jason, Andrew, and Ryan Crum; and Thomas and Macy Kegley; as well as two great-grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Doris Kegley, Delma Palguta, Myrtle Zimmerman, and Carol Bush.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Thompson-Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman, where a funeral service will follow at 1 p.m.
