J. Lloyd Pawlak

Boardman: There will be funeral services on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 11a.m. at the Thompson ~ Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman for J. Lloyd Pawlak, 79, who passed away Monday evening, January 27, 2014 at his residence with his family by his side.

Lloyd was born January 26, 1935 in Pittsburgh, Pa., the son of the late Joseph B. and Bernice (Hindman) Pawlak. He graduated from Carrick High School in Pittsburgh and attended Ole Miss.

Lloyd was a salesman for Armour-Dial Corporation for 15 years and later for Revlon for 10 years. Later on, Lloyd and his wife, Susan, owned several Baskin Robbins and a Sports Team Shop, in the Pittsburgh area. He lived in Youngstown in the 1970's and after retiring in 2005, returned to the area.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 53 years, the former Susan G. Babcock, two children; Susan L. Holland of Hamilton, Ohio, Lloyd J. (Lori) Pawlak of Cranbury, New Jersey and 5 grandchildren; Abigail Holland, Jennifer Holland, Meghan Pawlak, Shannon Pawlak and Emily Pawlak.

Family and friends may call on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 10 to 11a.m. at Thompson ~ Filicky Funeral Home, Boardman.
