Dorothy L. Plassman, 83

Delaware, Ohio: There will be Funeral Services on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman, for Dorothy L. Plassman, 83, of Delaware, formerly of Youngstown, who died Thursday morning, June 2, 2011, at Grady Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 11, 1927 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late John and Phyllis M. Abbott Waddington.

Dorothy worked as an optician at United Optical, Youngstown, and later at Vision Center, Boardman, for over 40 years.

Dorothy is survived by her three sons; Frank W. (Olga) Tondo of Boardman, William R. (Debbie) Tondo of Youngstown, and Roland C. (Nancy) Plassman of Delaware, Ohio, a sister Phyllis M. Keifer of Brookfield, Ohio, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, Dr. Roland Plassman, Sr. who died September 22, 1972, Dorothy was preceded in death by two brothers John Waddington and William Waddington, and a sister Ruth Jenkins.

Friends may call on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, from 12 Noon until 1 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Boardman.
