Carl C Blackson

We celebrated the life of our dear friend, Carl Blackson, on October 25th at a memorial service that truly blessed all who knew him. Through the music and words of his son, Rick, and the letters, words and music of other family members, children and grandchildren, we were taken on a journey through Carl's life that moved us, made us laugh as well as cry, but most of all, helped us to appreciate even more a dear man who will truly be missed. We love you Carl, enjoy your well deserved rest in God's presence!

My sincerest condolences to Rick, Mary Jo, Lois, Elizabeth, Jean and Gary and their extended families. Carl was a wonderful, warm man who exuded friendliness and caring. I enjoyed knowing him, although ever so briefly, and know he rests in the company of his maker and his loved ones gone before. RIP Carl. Your legacy is your family and especially the quality of your children and a life well lived. Well done.

Mr Blackson was my bus driver years ago (I think it was bus #28) and he was such a sweet man. He always talked to me and even as an adult he remembered me. As a kid you have a few teachers /adults who make a lasting impression on you and he was one of those people for me. As I read all of the other things he did in his life I can see how great he was and what a loss it is for his family. God Bless you Mr. Blackson.
