Warren Harding McClurg Canfield: Warren,who was born on November 5, 1920, slept away peacefully at home, early Saturday morning, August 8, 2015. After graduating from South High School, he attended Youngstown State University, majoring in Geology, until the outbreak of WW II, whereupon, he entered the Army Air Corps serving in B-17's. At war ends, he returned to YSU to complete his studies and was in management with Bearing Distributors, until his retirement in 1988. His interests were varied, among them were reading, sailing, and gardening. Warren was a descendant of Mayflower passenger, John Alden, whose family members included, Samuel Adams, John Adams and John Quincy Adams and a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Mary Ann; three children, Karen (Don) Roberts of Columbus, Warren T. (Pam) McClurg of Canfield and Susan Carmen of Cleveland; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Christ Church Presbyterian (Charter Member), 1933 Canfield Road, Youngstown with Reverend Ben Graves officiating.
