Virginia Lynn Thompson

BOARDMAN - Virginia Lynn Thompson, 75, passed away on September 16, 2026, at Hospice House.

Born on May 3, 1951, in Youngstown, Virginia was the daughter of the late Wayne and Helen White Nelson.

A graduate of Chaney High School, Virginia devoted her life to her family. She spent her life as a homemaker and dedicated herself to raising her children. In the years when her children were school aged she gave her time as a volunteer with the PTA, Boardman Band and Orchestra Parents and 4-H. She also enjoyed sewing, dogs and attending local dog events while often volunteering at Youngstown All-Breed Training Club.

More than anything, Virginia’s life was centered on the people she loved. She is survived by her daughters, Jamie Thompson, Stacie (Paul) Rosenburg and Kimberly (Andrew) Yaggi. She is also survived by her sister, Beverly Johnson, and by her six grandchildren, Landen, Trenton, Kira, Rima, Sanya, and Inara, who were an important and cherished part of her life.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Thompson.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
