Stephen Jerome Wilt, 65 Boardman: There will be a Memorial Service at noon on Saturday, June 7 2014 at Thompson-Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman for Steve Wilt, who died suddenly Monday morning at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center. Steve was born December 3, 1948 in Geneva, Ohio to Eugene F. and Lucille P. (Williams) Wilt. He graduated from Geneva HS in 1966, and then accepted a scholarship to Youngstown State University, where he met his wife, Mary Ann. He earned a Master's in Business Administration. He began his professional career at St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he worked as a laboratory manager. Then, as a real estate broker, he started Standard Realty, Inc. He expanded his businesses with Realistic Improvements, where he remodeled homes for over twenty years. He retired to spend more time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Mary Ann (Minotti) Wilt, whom he married on September 18, 1971, three daughters: Jennifer S. Connolly of Boardman, Kristi L. (Joseph) Decker of Columbus, Debra M. (Matthew) Beil of Boardman; nine grandchildren: McKenna and Madison Connolly, Jocelyn and Sophia Decker, Isabel, Abigail, Grace, Matthew Jr., and Samuel Beil; brothers: John "Jack" (Shirley) Wilt, Raymond "Mike" (Linda) Wilt; sisters: Margaret "Peggy" (Ray) Dornsife, Martha "Marty" McDaniel, Monica (Ron) Scherman, Marian (Jim) Gallione. Besides his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his brother Tom and sister Mary Lu Wilt. Steve "enjoyed the ride" and helped anyone in need. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and neighbors. Family and friends may call on Saturday, June 7 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Thompson-Filicky Funeral Home. Memorial Service will follow.
