Obituary

Rudolph A. Centric There will be funeral services on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Thompson-Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman with Rev. Dennis Massie officiating for Rudolph A. Centric, 88 who died Thursday evening, September 10, 2015 at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center with his family by his side. Rudolph was born September 1, 1927 in Green Township, Trumbull County, the son of the late Paul and Anna Centric. He was an engineer with Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad for over 25 years, known as the "Little Giant". Rudolph also worked for Wean United in Youngstown for 20 years as a hitcher. He served as a Merchant Marine during World War II and also the Navy during the Korean Conflict. Rudolph is survived by his wife of 66 years, the former Annabelle P. Brown, whom he married on April 22, 1949; 4 children, James H. (Dee) Centric of Phenix City, Alabama, David M. (Terri) Centric of New Springfield, Debora A. Conkey of McDonald and John E. Centric of North Lima; daughter-in-law, Carol Centric of North Ridgeville; 9 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and a granddaughter, Christina Centric whom he and his wife raised. Besides his parents, Rudolph was preceded in death by a son, Paul M. Centric; and 4 brothers, Lewis Centric, Paul Centric, Julius Centric, and Bill Centric; and grandson, Jason Centric.
