Rose Mary Milligan 73 Boardman: There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman for Rose Mary Milligan, 73, of Boardman, who passed away Sunday morning, February 8, 2015 at Meridian Arms Living Center. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Saint Charles Borromeo Church, gathering space. Rose Mary was born September 28, 1941 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Bill and Mary (Bickerstaff) Barnett. She was a 1959 graduate of Ursuline High School. She worked for the State of Ohio Industrial Commission, retiring in 1992. Rose Mary was a member of the retirees group known as the Bureaucats; and a member of Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Boardman. She always enjoyed sewing, baking, and spending quality time with family and friends. Rose Mary also spent much time at Lake Erie in the family's cabin growing up and always felt comfort near the water. She most enjoyed attending her grandchildren's school and sporting events and took great pride in their accomplishments. Rose Mary is survived by her husband of 52 years, William E. "Bill" Milligan, whom she married on May 26, 1962; her son, James Milligan and his wife, Sandra of Boardman; two sisters, Eileen (Tom) Davison of Columbus and Patricia (Dave) Morrison of Canfield; one brother, Bill Barnett of Liberty; two grandchildren, Ashley Milligan and Matthew Milligan. Besides her parents, Rose Mary was preceded in death by a son, Michael Milligan; three brothers, Paul Barnett, David Barnett and Tom Barnett. The family would like to thank the nurses and the staff at the Meridian Arms Living Center for the love, care and support they gave to Rose Mary; and special thanks to Rosie Zetts, her caregiver.
