Obituary

Poland – Ronald Lee “Ron” Klazon Sr., 82, of Poland, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, October 3, 2026.

Ron will always be remembered for his generous heart, kind spirit, warm smile, and the genuine way he made people feel welcome. He was especially proud of his Italian heritage, which was an important part of who he was and something he carried with great pride throughout his life.

He was born October 25, 1943, in Tinsmill, Pennsylvania, the son of John Joseph II and Serfina “Sarah” (Bozzarelli) Klazon. He was a graduate of Bellavone High School.

Ron retired after 30 years of dedicated service as an assembler with General Electric in Warren.

One of Ron’s greatest joys in life was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. His love of riding brought him not only countless miles of memories, but also many lasting friendships. He looked forward to meeting his biker friends for a cup of coffee at Perkins Restaurant and enjoyed the adventures they shared, including road trips to Bike Week and Sturgis, South Dakota. For Ron, riding was about more than the motorcycle—it was about the freedom, the friendships, and the memories made along the way.

He also enjoyed listening to music from the 1950s, especially doo-wop, and could often be found cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers.

Above all else, Ron was a true family man. His family meant the world to him, and he absolutely adored his grandchildren. He treasured every moment spent with them and took great pride in attending their activities and being there to support them. The love he had for his family will remain one of the greatest parts of his legacy.

Ron was preceded in death by his beloved wife of more than 35 years, the former Patricia Daley, whom he married in 1970 and who passed away on August 6, 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his granddaughter, Sarah Nicole Bundy; his brother, John Joseph Klazon III; and his nephews, John Simmons and Rickey Geltz.

Ron leaves behind his children, Ronald Lee (Wendy) Klazon Jr., Veronica (Mejdi) Hajdari, and Staci (Brock Rhodes) Klazon; his seven grandchildren, Michael Bundy, Patti Rhodes, Lexi Rhodes, Drake Rhodes, Riley Rhodes, Christopher Hajdari, and Alexander Hajdari; his nieces and nephews, Carla Geltz, John Joseph Klazon IV, Chuck Klazon, Jamie Baptiste, and Kristen (Alex) Nupp; and his great nephews Decosta Baptiste and Brayden Baptiste along with many cousins, friends, and the many people whose lives he touched throughout the years.

Though Ron is no longer here to share a cup of coffee, take another ride, cheer on the Steelers, or gather with the people he loved, the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His smile, kindness, generosity, love of family, and adventurous spirit will never be forgotten.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, October 12, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 11:55 a.m. at Thompson Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Youngstown, where a funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m.
