Robert A. Marshall, 75 Lisbon: The American Legion Post # 247 of Lowellville will conduct a military service Friday evening, November 20, 2015 at 7 p.m. at Thompson-Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman for Robert A. Marshall, 75, formerly of Youngstown, who died Saturday evening, November 14, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center. Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Friday, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Robert was born October 24, 1940 in Youngstown, the son of the late Nelson and Katherine (Richards) Marshall. He graduated from South High School in 1958. Robert entered into the Navy in 1961 and later into the Army in 1967. He served during the Vietnam War and retired from the military as a Sergeant First Class in 1981 after 22 years of service. After his military career, Robert worked for Tamko Distributors, for 22 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of The American Legion, Post 472, in Youngstown. Robert is survived by his five children, Lisa (Walt) Adams of Philadelphia, Scott A. Marshall of Delran, NJ, Bonnie (Trevor Mohney) Marshall of Boardman, Patricia J. Marshall of Cornwall, N.Y., Katherine J. (Danny) Trautz of Delran, NJ, 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and a brother, Nelson (Nancy) Marshall of Hubbard. Besides his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Marshall and his wife Patricia; a sister, Kay Oliver and her husband, Don.
