Robert A. Ewing, 84

Gulf Breeze, Florida:  Robert A. Ewing, 84, formerly of Boardman, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Gulf Breeze Hospital  in Gulf Breeze, Florida with his family by his side.

Robert was born March 6, 1933 in East Palestine, Ohio, the son of the late Harold and Ruth (Carnes) Ewing.   He graduated from Boardman High School in 1952.

He was a veteran of the Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict.

Robert worked for General Motors in Lordstown for 30 years, retiring in 1994.

He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Boardman, before moving to Florida.

Robert is survived by two children; a son, JR (Hella) Ewing of Knoxville, Tennessee and his daughter, Karen R. Ewing of Gulf Breeze, Florida.

Besides her parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, the former Sandra L. deSaulles, whom he married on January 30, 1960, died October 18, 2017; a  brother, Wayne Ewing.
