Rita Regina Alberti, 94

Boardman: There will be Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 10:30 a.m.at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman for Rita Regina Alberti, 94, who passed away peacefullySunday morning, September 25, 2016 at her residence with her loving family by her side.

Rita was born February 4, 1922 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Steven and Mary (Marino) Guerriero.

She graduated from South High in 1941. During the war, Rita worked at the Lamp Plant for General Electric in Youngstown for several years.

Rita's true profession was that of a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She devoted much of her time and energy as a loving caregiver to her family. Her interests included cooking, gardening, sewing and shopping, but her love for life was conveyed enthusiastically by the care and love she gave to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rita was an avidmember of St. Charles Borromeo Church, where she dedicated countless hours volunteering as a mass greeter, hospitality committee member and also contributed her time to the St. Vincent De Paul Society. She was a devoted member of her parish organizations which she shared her passion and joy for her church with those in her parish community. Garden Club, Ladies Guild, Mission Circle #1, 55 Club and St. Anthony Novena is where Rita enjoyed spending her time.

Rita leaves behind her son, Patrick J. (Linda) Alberti of Forest,Virginia, two daughters; Mary C.(Dennis) Hlebovy and Martha L. Alberti, both of Boardman, four granddaughters; Michele (Mike) Mathes, Celeste Hlebovy, Jennifer (Tom) Church and Laura (John) Moran; 6 great grandchildren ;Baechle, Nathan, Harrison, Miles, Sophie and Josie.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 30 years, Patrick P. Alberti whom she married on July 26, 1948 at St. Patrick's Church, four brothers; Angelo Guerriero, Joseph Guerriero, Vincent Guerriero, Stephen Guerriero; four sisters, Cecelia Somers, Rose Marinelli, Mary Francis Delpha and Carmel LaCivita.

Family and friends may call on Friday, September 30, 2016 from 9:30 to 10:30 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, follow by service at 10:30 a.m.
