Peggy Jean McCliment Columbiana: There will be calling hours on Friday, July 29, 2011, from 5 to 7 p.m. follow by a funeral service at 7 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman for Peggy Jean McCliment, 81 who died Monday evening at Valley Care, Northside Medical Center. She was born April 20, 1930 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Homer D. and Edith Margaret (Mason) McMurray. Peggy graduated from Boardman High School in 1948. She was a administrative assistant for Hanes Knitwear in Winston- Salem, North Carolina for over 10 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of the former Central Christian Church, Youngstown. Her husband, Edward Leon McCliment whom she married on January 27, 1951, died on May 2, 1999. Peggy is survived by her children; James D. (Jeanne) McCliment of Keene, New Hampshire, Scott E. (Kathy) McCliment of Winston-Salem, NC., Lynn M. (Preston) Broach of Nashsville, TN., Craig R. (Deborah) McCliment of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Brian D. (Sarah Bartow) McCliment of Watkins Glen, New York,; six brothers; Homer McMurray, Jr. of Massachusetts, James (Ellen) McMurray of Poland, OH., Robert McMurray of Atlanta, Georgia, Thomas McMurray of Long Island, New York, Joseph (Barbara) McMurray of Boardman, Ohio, Dean (Elaine) McMurray of Naples, Florida. Two sisters: Patricia (Bill) Spencer of Roswell, Georgia, Sandra "Cookie"(Clifford) Swartz of Tobaccoville, North Carolina. Two brothers-in-law D.W. Blackstone of Austintown, Ohio, Hank Jurny of Florida; Eight Grandchildren Emry McCliment, Sarah McCliment, Emily McCliment, Meredith McCliment, Mason Broach, Annie Broach, Anna Rae McCliment, Evan McCliment . Besides her parents and husband, Peggy was proceeded in death by her three brothers Paul McMurray, David McMurray, Don McMurray and two sisters, Betty Blackstone and Joan Jurny.
