Nancy Camille Gibson, 82

Granbury, Texas:  There will be funeral services on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 11 am at Thompson Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street in Boardman, for Nancy Camille Gibson, 82 of Granbury, Texas, formerly of Youngstown, who passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018.

Family and friends may call on Monday, from 9 to 10:45 am at the funeral home, with services to follow at 11:00 am.

Nancy was born January 6, 1936 in Marbell, Arkansas, the daughter of the late R. W. and Laura Slaughter.

She married Dave Gibson in Ohio in 1974.  They met several times and Dave had to pursue her to gain her interest.  They were always together from that point on; they worked together, traveled the world and all the continental states.

Nancy was a guide at Fossil Rim and Dave was the tour driver.  They took all their children on an Alaskan cruise.  Nancy enjoyed sewing, and making jewelry and quilts.  She liked making personalized Christmas ornaments every year.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Dave Gibson; three children, Bill (Mary) Booth, Laurel (Gary) Cornell, and Lisa Schneider; ten grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, W.H. "Sonny" (Kay) Slaughter.

Besides her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by three sons, David Gibson, Jr., Donald James Gibson, and Daniel Gibson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial tributes may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, 525 N. Broad Street, Canfield, OH, 44406 or to Triple Cross Cowboy Church, 3470 N. Lipan Drive, Granbury, TX 76048 in memory of Nancy.
