Marilynn Chisholm, 96 Youngstown: Private family services were held for Marilynn Chisholm, 96, who passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Park Vista Retirement Community with her family by her side. Marilynn was born December 28, 1918 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Eben and Irene (Lynn) Williams. She graduated from South High School in 1936 and attended Ohio Wesleyan University. Marilynn was a member of Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church and was a homemaker. She is survived by a son Richard B. (Mary) Chisholm of Poland and a daughter Carol L. (Attorney Jay) Dingledy of Columbus; four grandchildren, Josh Dingledy, Lindsey (Brent) Wood, Jessica Chisholm, and Justin (Lindsey) Chisholm; and three great grandchildren, Evan Wood, Jay Wood, and Adrianna Chisholm. Besides her parents, Marilynn was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Rodney Chisholm whom she married on November 1, 1941. Marilynn had a lifelong interest in gardening and served as president of the Mistletoe Garden Club. She shared an interest with her husband in the Circus, and maintained a membership in the Circus Fans Association of America. She never missed going to the Canfield Fair and especially loved to see the horses. For the past twelve years, Marilynn was a resident of Park Vista and she enjoyed all of the social programs and activities.
