Marie L. Piombini, 98

Boardman: Marie L. Piombini, 98, passed away Monday evening, December 19, 2016 at the Vista Center of Boardman, with her family by her side.

Marie was born November 26, 1918 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of the late Luigi and Vittoria (Ferrari) Piombini.

Her family moved to Italy when Marie was a child and returned to United States and to Queens, New York in 1947, before moving to the Youngstown area in 2002.

Marie was a legal secretary on Wall Street in Manhattan, New York. She was a member of Saint Charles Borromeo Parish in Boardman.

Marie is survived by a sister, Bianca Minotti of Boardman, a nephew, Alfred (Doreen) Minotti of Delaware, Ohio and a niece, Mary Ann Wilt of Boardman; 4 great nieces; and 7 great great nieces and 4 great great nephews.

Besides her parents, Marie was preceded in death by a brother, Monsignor Mario Piombini, a brother-in-law, Alfred Minotti, and nephew, Stephen Wilt.

Following Marie's requests, there will be private funeral services. There are no calling hours.

The family would like to thank the staff at Vista Center of Boardman and Crossroads Hospice for the love, care and support that they gave to Marie and her family at this time.
