Marian S. May, 99

Boardman: Marian S. Starr, 99, passed away Thursday morning, December 22, 2016 at Saint Elizabeth Health Center Boardman.

She was born March 19, 1917 in Woodlawn, Pa., the daughter of the late William L. and Marian (O'Donnell) Starr.

Marian graduated from Fowler High School in 1935 and Butler Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.

She was a registered nurse and worked at General Fireproofing, U.S. Steel and Youngstown Sheet & Tube, all in the Youngstown area. She later worked at Grove City College as the head nurse for 16 years, before retiring in 1979.

Marian was a member of The Church of Glenellen in North Lima and a member of the Care and Share Group at the church.

Marian is survived by her son, Jack A. (Rita Ann) Buechler of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Besides her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Edgar May, whom she married in 1965, died in 1966; her infant daughter Judith A. Buechler; a brother Harry A. Starr and her sister, Garnet A. Packer.

Marian's requested private funeral services and no calling hours.

The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to Jubilee Fellowship Building Fund, P.O. Box 862, Canfield, Ohio 44406 in memory of Marian.
