Margaret "Maggie" L. Simmons, 73 Youngstown: There will be funeral services Thursday evening, Oct. 8, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman for Margaret L. Simmons, 73, known as "Maggie", who died suddenly on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015 at her residence. Maggie was born February 7, 1942 in Morgantown, W Va, the daughter of the late John and Betty J. (Shriver) Simmons. She moved to the Youngstown area as a child. Maggie graduated from South High School in 1961. She was a bookkeeper for Big B Automotive in Youngstown for 25 years, retiring in 2004. Maggie is survived by two daughters, Jennifer L. Freeman of Cleveland, Kelley J. Jenkins of Youngstown; five grandchildren, Margaret (Sue) Freeman, Samantha Freeman, Jemel "JR" Jenkins, Amyah C. Jenkins, and Kayden J. Jenkin and her childhood best friend, Cindy Burns of Youngstown. Besides her parents, Maggie was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosemary McCullough, Diana K. Baber-Torrez and two brothers, John L. Simmons and Dennis F. Simmons.
