Margaret Gail Hiner

Salem: There will be funeral services on Monday, January 21, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Good Hope Lutheran Church, 98 Homestead Drive, Boardman for Margaret Gail Hiner, 90, formerly of Mount Vernon Avenue, Youngstown, who died Wednesday evening, January 16, 2013 at Blossom Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Salem, Ohio.

Margaret was born September 14, 1922 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late William L. and Hilda E. (Dodle) Levine.

She graduated from Struthers High School in 1940. Margaret lived in the Youngstown area before moving to Salem in 2008.

She worked as a clerk in the Payroll Department for Sears Department Store on Southern Boulevard and later at the Southern Park Mall for over 18 years.

Margaret was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church.

Her husband of 43 years, Harry D. Hiner whom she married on May 27, 1942, died October 31, 1985.

She is survived by a son Thomas H. (Sylvia) Hiner of Cincinnati, a daughter Mary Lou (Dennis) Kubina of Salem, with whom she made her home, a daughter-in-law Ursula Hiner of Boardman, eight grandchildren; Greg (Ann) Hiner, Jeffrey Hiner, Kimberly (Joe) Cleary, William (Renee) Hiner, Jr., Daniel (Danielle) Hiner, Jennifer (Mark) Hanna, Michelle (Dale) Jenkins and Dawn (Ron) Irey, and 17 Great Grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by a son; William A. Hiner, infant brother William Levine, and two sisters; Edith J. Mauch and Louise J. Casey.

Family and friends may call on Monday, January 19, 2013 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Good Hope Lutheran Church, 98 Homestead Drive, Boardman.
