Mabel G. Hauger, 93 Cincinnati: Mabel G. Hauger, 93, formerly of Boardman, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Cottingham Nursing Home in Cincinnati. Family and friends may call on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Thompson-Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman, with memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. Mabel was born December 31, 1921 in Porter, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late John and Nellie (Burkett) Gahagan. She graduated from Punxsutawney High School in 1941. Her family relocated to the Youngstown area, where Mabel worked as a typist for U.S. Steel for 10 years. She met the love of her life, William G. Hauger and they married on January 17, 1947. Mabel is survived by her husband, William, of 67 years; a son, Douglas C. (Nina) Hauger of Coconut Creek, Florida; a daughter, Debra D. (Tim) McManus of Cincinnati; a granddaughter, Tiffany L. (Jose) Figueroa of Coconut Creek, Florida; a brother Wesley (Joanne) Gahagan of Boardman. Besides her parents, Mabel was preceded in death by a sister, D. Helen Little; and three brothers, Donald Gahagan, C. Lee Gahagan, and Delmas Gahagan.
