M. Roselle Stickel There will be funeral services on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015 at 3 p.m. at Thompson~Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market St. for M. Roselle Stickel, 90, formerly of Brandon Ave., Youngstown, who died Thurday, Sept. 17, 2015 at the Inn at Ironwood, with her family by her side. Roselle was born June 18, 1925 in Elizabeth, N.J., the daughter of the late Millard G. and Ruth (Lusk) Teaster. Her parents named her after Roselle Park in Elizabeth. She graduated from Ashville High School in North Carolina. Roselle worked for the Youngstown City Schools, in the cafeteria dept. at Jackson Elementary for 25 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member and Past President of The Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary and a member of A.A.R.P. Poland Chapter. Roselle enjoyed playing bingo, traveling, being with family and friends. She had a fun loving and happy go lucky personality. Roselle is survived by her three children, Jane (Leo) Slagle of Washingtonville, Mary R. (Al) Wynn of Canfield and James Stickel of Poland; six grandchildren Christina Bailey, James Likouris, Dave Slagle, Dan Slagle, Eileen Stickel and James Stickel, six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 35 years, Frederick M. Stickel whom she married Apr. 26, 1957, died Apr. 1992. Family and friends may call on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Thompson~ Filicky Funeral Home in Boardman. The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to One Way Farm Children's Home, 6131 River Road, P.O. Box 18637 Fairfield, OH 45018.
