Lourenna Virginia West Mineral Ridge: There will be funeral services on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman for Lourenna Virginia West, 86 of Mineral Ridge who died Monday morning, July 18, 2011 at Briarfield at the Ridge. She was born May 12, 1925 in Grafton, West Virigina, the daughter of the late Delbert L. and Lessie V. Green Tucker. Lourenna graduated from Grafton High School and moved to the area in 1952. Her husband, William West whom she married on February 9, 1952, died May 26, 1999. Lourenna is survived by two daughters Dee V. (Craig) Tremayne of Youngstown and Gladys A. (Mark) Gromley of Kensington, a son David L. (Debbie) West of Girard, a sister Thelma M. Spear of Moatsville, West Virginia, seven grandchildren; Deana Fridley, Amy Drews, April Grabecki, Carl West, Jodi West, Walter Burkholder and Jessica Burkholder and six great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Lourenna was preceded in death by three sons Infant Robert West, Infant Paul West, and Carl West, four brothers Cecil Tucker, Arthur Tucker, Ernest Tucker, Ulysses Tucker and three sisters; Lalah Bennette, Lena Cooper, Gladys Robinson, and Juanita Shahan.
