Linda L. Stacy Simmons, 66 Canfield: There will be funeral services on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Thompson-Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman, for Linda L. Stacy Simmons, 66, who passed away from lung cancer on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at her residence with her family by her side. Linda was born May 17, 1948 in New Castle, Pennsylvania into the loving family of Patterson J. and Betty J. (Bucey) Baker. She was a 1966 graduate of Shenango High School in New Castle, Pa and resided in Ohio most of her life. Linda worked for InfoCision for 10 years before retiring. She loved being with family and friends, loved decorating and had a passion for reading. She had a great sense of humor and was very strong, to the end. Linda is survived by her long-time partner John Ardus of Canfield; two sons James H. Stacy of Poland and Gary L. Stacy of Enon Valley, Pa three grandchildren: Cody J. Stacy, Chase E. Stacy and Tristan L. Stacy; a sister Bonnie Jeffcoat of Boardman ; 2 nieces, 1 nephew, 4 great nieces and 2 great nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, The Reverend Samuel and Jennie Baker, her parents and her husband, John "Dink" Simmons, whom she married on July 10, 1999, died July 1, 2000.
