Linda Lee Sharfal, 64

Austintown: Linda Lee Sharfal, 64, was welcomed into eternal life on Monday morning, September 30, 2013 at the Cleveland Clinic after a long battle with diabetes.

Linda was born January 15, 1949 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Carl L. "Pug" and Mary Louise (Bannon) Seckler. She was raised in Youngstown and graduated from Chaney High School in 1967.

Linda was a member of Saint Christine's Church. She was a clerk for W.T. Grant in the Boardman Plaza, Kroger's in Youngstown, and Lee's Hallmark Store at the Southern Park Mall. Linda was a representative for Home Interiors and ran her own housekeeping business.

Linda is survived by her husband of 45 years, Thomas S. Sharfal whom she married on May 11, 1968, three children Tammy L. Sharfal of Canfield, Thomas S. (Julie) Sharfal Jr. of Berlin Center, and Daniel C. Sharfal of Mineral Ridge, her mother-in-law Ann Sharfal, a brother, Charles (Margie) Seckler and a sister Kathleen (Terry) Landis, all of Youngstown, two grandchildren, Anthony B. Tountas and Kayla M. Sharfal, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and her dogs; Shadow, Champ and Maggie.

Besides her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a brother Carl Seckler Jr., father-in-law Samuel Sharfal and a niece Teralynn Landis McGath.

Linda enjoyed crafting, sewing, painting, catalogue shopping and spending time with her family, grandchildren and giving gifts.

Linda got her strength and greatest joy from the love of her family.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Christine's Church, 3165 S. Schenley Avenue, Youngstown.
