Youngstown – Linda Rae Johnson, 74, of Youngstown, made her transition to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, June 5, 2024

She was born April 18, 1950 in Youngstown, the daughter of Andrew R. Jr. and Eleanor P. (Butler) Johnson and was a lifelong area resident.

Linda graduated from Boardman High School in 1969 and was extremely religious where she attended Evangel Baptist Church in Boardman.

She was employed as a clerk for a Christian bookstore followed by working at Sears Department Store.

Linda was very talented and enjoyed crocheting, knitting and doing needle point. She won numerous awards and ribbons at the Canfield Fair for all her beautiful creations.

Linda leaves behind to hold onto to her memories her mother Eleanor P. Johnson of Boardman, her brother Andrew (Cheryl) Johnson of North Lima and her nieces and nephews Brad (Katie) Johnson, Christopher (Elle) Johnson, Christine (Charlie) Crawford and Jimmy (Amy) Halls along with many great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her father Andrew R. Johnson Jr. and her sister Susan Halls.

There will be a private graveside ceremony held on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Boardman.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Thompson Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman.
