Larry Uriah Burkholder

Youngstown: Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman for Larry Uriah Burkholder, 75 who died Friday morning, August 9, 2013 at Hospice House.

Larry was born September 25, 1937 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late Leroy and Marion G. (Miller) Burkholder. He graduated from The Rayen School in 1955 and lived in the Youngstown area.

He was an Army Veteran. Larry worked as a sheet metal worker for over 32 years, retiring in 1996. He later worked in construction for many contractors in Ohio and surrounding states.

He was a member of Mahoning United Methodist Church.

Larry is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Donna Jean Lipscomb, whom he married on May 23, 1964, a daughter Julie D. Burkholder of Youngstown, two sisters; Gail J. Agnone of Girard and Ella E. Raub of Youngstown.

Besides his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his son Kevin L. Burkholder.
