Kenneth L. Mason, 92 Girard: Kenneth L. Mason, 92, died on Sunday, March 22, 2015. He was born October 26, 1922 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late Mahlon H. and Elsie (Newman) Mason. He graduated from Girard High School in 1941 and was a Coast Guard veteran, serving during World War II. Kenneth worked for US Steel for over 40 years, retiring in 1997 as a supervisor. He was a mason with the Girard Masonic Lodge. He is survived by a son Kenneth L. Mason of Liberty Township, and a grandson Connor Mason. Besides his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, the former Alice Rich, whom he married on June 10, 1944, died September 15, 2009; two daughters, Terrilynn Mason and Wendy Mason; two brothers, Harding Mason and Henry Mason; and a sister Jane Gruver.
