Joyce Elaine Musser, 73 Youngstown: There will be funeral services on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Thompson~Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman for Joyce Elaine Musser,73 who passed away Sunday morning, July 6, 2014 at Vista Center of Boardman with her family by her side. Joyce was born June 23, 1941 in Youngstown, the daughter of Joseph and Lucy (Pizuto) Patasce. She graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1959, and later became certified in drafting. Joyce worked for Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, Washington for several years before returning to the area. She was a local artist and enjoyed working with oil and acrylic paints. She owned The Art Nook Studio in Akron for several years and was a sales clerk with Strouss's at the Southern Park Mall. Joyce was a member of Saint Dominic Church, Youngstown. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Richard Allen Musser, whom she married January 17, 1976, her mother Lucy Pizuto of Boardman, children; Regina Thornton of St. Petersburg, Florida, Cynthia (Tom) England of Manassas, Virginia, Jacqueline (Don) Black of Newport News, Virginia, Richard A. Musser II and Stephen Musser, both of Youngstown, Gregory Musser and Jodi Kluchar, both of Struthers, her brothers; Joe Patasce of Poland, Vincent (Barbara) Patasce of Baltimore, Maryland, 10 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Joyce was preceded in death by her father, Joseph; and a brother, Victor Patasce.
