Obituary

Youngstown: Funeral services will be noon on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, for Joseph J. Warchol, 73 who died Wednesday evening at Hospice House of Poland. Joseph was born January 29, 1938, in Youngstown, a son of the late Joseph and Helen Barvitiski Warchol and was a lifelong area resident. Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served from January 1955 to January 1958. He had been a machinist for the Youngstown Sheet & Tube company for over 20 years and then drove truck for R&L carrier, retiring in 2005. He was a former member of St. Stanoslaw Church. Joseph enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's sporting and school events. His wife, the former Ruth E. Frease, who he married August 1, 1959, died Novemver 8, 2005. He leaves a son, Joseph W. (Karen) Warchol of Boardman; three daughters, Denise (Robert) Moran of Boardman, Brenda (Joe) Tiberio of Poland and Traci (Scott) Harvey of Cuyahoga Falls; six grandchildren, Shaylynn, Ciarra, Trista, Joey, Zach and Miranda; and one great-grandson, Preston. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Thompson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
