John Pash, 69

Salem: There will be funeral services on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Thompson-Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman for John Pash, 69, formerly of Cleveland, who died Saturday evening, October 10, 2015 at Salem Community Hospital.

John was born January 8, 1946 in Youngstown, the son of the late Steve and Rose C. (Wollet) Pash.

He graduated from The Rayen School in 1963 and Ole Miss in 1968, with a bachelor's degree in International Interpretation & Translation. He attended Vanderbilt University.

John was an Army veteran and served during the Vietnam War.

He was a clerk for the federal government at the Federal Office Building in downtown Cleveland for over 12 years, before retiring.

John was a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Youngstown.

He was raised in the Youngstown area and after serving in the Army, he moved to Cleveland. After retiring, John returned to the Columbiana area.

John is survived by two brothers, Lloyd (Sandra) Durbin of North Lima, Robert Pash of Dallas, Tx; a sister Carol (Allan) Burns of Liberty; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by a brother Michael Pash.
