Jason R. Ulrich, 31 Boardman: There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Luke Roman Catholic Church, 5235 South Avenue, Boardman with Fr. Gerald DeLucia officiating, for Jason R. Ulrich, 31, who passed away from cancer at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. Jason was born, March 4, 1985 in Youngstown, the son of John R. and Katrina (Hess) Ulrich. He graduated from Boardman High School and MCCTC in June of 2003. Jason was a member of Carpenters Union Local #171 for over 6 years and was a Journeyman Carpenter for Brand Energy and Infrastructure as a Scaffolder. He was a member of St. Luke Roman Catholic Church. Jason was a lifelong Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey fan. He enjoyed remodeling and construction projects. He enjoyed camping, swimming and hunting and cherished time with his wife, children and family. Jason is survived by his wife, Courtney N. (Mickle) Ulrich, whom he married on June 28, 2014, three children, Chelsea Ulrich, Gavin Ulrich and Makenzie Ulrich; his parents, John and Tina Ulrich of Boardman; a sister Ashley Ulrich of Atlanta, Georgia; a grandmother, Mary Ulrich of Columbus; mother-in-law, Beverly Stanley-Shadley and father-in-law Chuck Shadley of Meadville, Pa.; father-in-law, Brian Mickle of Mississippi; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends from school and work. Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Ulrich, and Dewane and Gertrude Hess. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Thompson-Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street and on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. Luke Roman Catholic Church Chapel.
