Janice "Jan" A. Lewis Canfield: There will be funeral services on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 7:30 pm at Thompson~Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman for Janice A. Lewis, known as "Jan", 77, who passed away Sunday evening, May 17, 2015 at Hospice House with her loving family by her side. Jan was born January 20, 1938 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Anne (Van Case) Simpson. She was a graduate from South High School in 1955 where she was a majorette. She attended Youngstown College and wrote for the "Jambar" and worked for Dean Miller School of Business. Jan worked for Youngstown Sheet and Tube. She was co-owner of Gem Set Jewelry in Boardman for twenty four years. She was an active member of the Canfield Junior Women's League and a member of the Angels of Easter Seals. Jan is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, David R. Lewis Jr. whom she married on January 18, 1957, three children, Laurie M. (Donald) DeVille of Canton, Carla A. Lewis of Canfield, David R. Lewis III of Nashville, Tennessee, seven grandchildren, Stephen Svetlak, Jr., Steven Stanislaw, Jr., Mark Stanislaw, Nicholas DeVille, Melissa Deville, Casey Stanislaw, Carrie Deville, great-granddaughter Madison Hart. Besides her parents, Jan was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Zebrasky.
