Irene Julia Gonzalez

Mineral Ridge: There will be funeral services on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman for Irene Julia Gonzalez, 92 formerly of Youngstown, who died Friday afternoon, January 25, 2013 at Vista Center at the Ridge.

Irene was born December 1, 1920 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Steven and Julia (Molnar) Toth.

She was a homemaker. During World War II, Irene was a welder at Truscon Steel in Youngstown.

Irene was a member of the Hungarian Presbyterian Church.

Her husband of 54 years, Joseph G. Gonzalez whom she married on August 30, 1941, died January 23, 1995.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four sisters and a brother.

Irene had no children of her own, but showered her love on all her nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and was greatly loved in return.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Boardman. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m.
