Homer C. Baun, 91

Boardman: Homer C. Baun, 91, passed away Saturday morning, September 10, 2016, with his family by his side.

He was born April 8, 1925 in Indiana, Pa., the son of the late Clyde E. and Violet (White) Baun.

He was a veteran of the Navy, serving during World War II.

He worked for U S Steel and later was a member of the Teamsters, working for Royal Crown Cola in Youngstown for several years.

Homer was a member of Christ Church Presbyterian and was a mason with the Western Star Lodge #21 F.& A. M.

Homer is survived by his wife of 67 years, the former Irene F. Snyder, whom he married on September 19, 1949; three children, Don (Betty) Baun of Perrysville, Curtis (Erica) Baun and Jennifer Baun of Boardman; three grandchildren, Bill & Amy Amendol of Boardman, Scott & Jessica Baun of Clovis, NM and Cari Baun of St Croix; and 5 great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Homer was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Baun and Richard Baun.

A memorial service will be held for Homer at a later date. There are no calling hours.
