H." Lloyd" W. Thompson, 71 Austintown: H. "Lloyd" W. Thompson, 71, passed away Thursday evening, March 31, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center with his family by his side. Lloyd was born December 5, 1944 in Salem, the son of the late Delbert and G. Irene (Dougan) Thompson. He graduated from West Branch High School. Lloyd was a veteran of the Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. After the war, Lloyd moved to the Youngstown area. He worked for Ohio Edison in Youngstown for 33 years. He worked as a lineman and retired as a working Foreman in 2001. He was a member of the V.F.W. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 18 years, the former Carol Ann Workman, whom he married on February 19, 1998; two sons, Zachary J. Thompson of St. Petersburg, Florida and Eric S. (Melissa) Thompson and a grandson, Liam Z. Thompson, all from Parrish, Florida; three sisters, Patricia (Gene) Oesch of Austintown, Sherry (John) Patoray and Honey Brest, both of the Columbus area.
