Evelyn Ruth Molin Austintown: There will be funeral services on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 11a.m. at Mahoning United Methodist Church, 2214 Mahoning Avenue, Youngstown for Evelyn Ruth Molin, 94 ,who died comfortably at home with her family on Thursday evening, July 7, 2011. She was born May 7, 1917 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Homer H. and Vida R. Strickland Matthews. Evelyn graduated from Chaney High School and attended Youngstown College. She was a homemaker and worked in the offices of the Youngstown Sheet & Tube Company. She was a member of the Mahoning United Methodist Church. Evelyn was a former member of the Administrative Board, the Mission Commission and enjoyed spending her time with the children at the church. Evelyn's husband, Henry G. Molin whom she married on December 30, 1939, died November 25, 1998. She is survived by a son David A. (Sandy) Molin of Silva, North Carolina, a daughter Barbara H. (Edwin) Childs of Austintown, a sister Marjorie A. (Charles) Freed of Youngstown. Besides her parents and husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by her brother Edwin L. Matthews. Friends may call on Monday, July 11, 2011 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Mahoning United Methodist Church, Youngstown.
