Douglas R. Meek, 63, died Sunday afternoon, March 26, 2017 at Hospice House in Poland with his family by his side.

Doug was born June 14, 1953 in Youngstown, the son of Hugh and Ethel L. (Yeany) Meek.  He graduated from Grove City College and Kent State University with several Bachelor's degrees in Business, Economics, Religion and Engineering.

He worked for Magnetech Industrial Services, formerly Meade Industrial Services and later for City Mechanical; Services, (CMT), in Youngstown for over 20 years.

Doug was an avid bowler, where he belonged to Youngstown Print Craft League.

Doug is survived by his mother, Ethel Louise Meek of Columbiana, his brother Tim E. Meek of Columbiana; and a nephew, Joel Burrows of Missouri.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 5 to 7 pm at Thompson Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market in Boardman. A time of sharing will follow at 7 pm.
