Dorothy M. Lemley, 84 Poland: There will be funeral services on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Thompson-Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman with Rev. Leo Fehrer officiating for Dorothy M. Lemley, 84, formerly of Plumbrook Drive, Austintown, who died suddenly Saturday morning, Sept. 26, 2015 at her residence. Dorothy was born October 12, 1930 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Hobart M. and Helen (Krimmer) Scott. She graduated from South High School in 1949 and was a lifelong area resident. Dorothy started working for Dollar Saving & Trust in Youngstown in 1950. She worked at three branches, Market Street, Lake Park and the Tippecanoe branch, before retiring in 1992, after 42 years of service. Dorothy was the second female Vice President and the first female Branch Manager for Dollar Saving & Trust. She was a member of Christ Church Presbyterian, a member of AARP #3104 of Canfield and the Dollar Saving & Trust Breakfast Club. Dorothy was an avid quilter and loved to sew. She made amazing cookies and her famous Chex Mix. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 54 years, Walter F. Lemley, whom she married on September 23, 1961; several nieces and nephews, Cheryl (John) Jamerson of Stow, Oh., Carol (John Hauser) Wooley of Winston Salem, NC., Marty Mayer of Youngstown, Robert Loree of Maxbass, ND, Nancy (Bob) Lambert of Woodland Park CO, Joan Mayer of Youngstown and Christine (Dean) Warren of Sheyenne ND, Carrie Loree of Stow; countless great nieces and nephews; and honorary grandchildren, Christina (Hoyle) West, Paul (Erin) Gerhardstein and Amy (Jake) Kelecava and their children. Besides her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her sisters, Jean Mayer and Betty Loree; and a nephew, Richard Loree. The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to Akron Children's Hospital Foundation, One Perkins Square, Akron, Ohio 44308 or to The American Cancer Society, 44308 North Broad Street, Canfield, Ohio 44406 in memory of Dorothy.
