Donna L. Stone

Austintown: There will be a private Memorial Service at Highway Tabernacle Church for Donna L. Stone, 79, who died Thursday afternoon, July 26, 2012 at Saint Elizabeth Health Center.

She was born September 18, 1932 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert A. and Janeva (Porter) McSkimming.

Donna was a bookkeeper and office clerk for Southside Radio & TV for over 20 years, retiring in 1995, as well as a homemaker. In 1995, Donna became a nanny for Ronnie George and considered him her adoptive grandson.

She has been a member of Highway Tabernacle Church for 65 years and was a Missionette Leader for over 30 years.

Donna is survived by her husband of 58 years, Fred R. Stone, whom she married on February 15, 1954, a son Fred R. Stone, Jr. of Austintown, two sisters Emily M. (Nicholas) Harasyn of Lighthouse Point, Florida, Elizabeth "Betty" (Donald) Ebaugh of Austintown, a brother Harris (Monica) McSkimming of New York, several nieces and nephews and her adoptive family Ronald & Joanne George, and Ronnie of Canfield.

Besides her parents, Donna was preceded in death by an infant son David Jon Stone.
