David R. Veon, 68

Youngstown:  David R. Veon, 68, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Beeghly Oaks with his loving family by his side.

David, known as "Dave" by his family and friends, was born May 22, 1949 in Rogers Ohio, the son of the late Isaach and Evelyn Veon.

After graduating from high school, Dave moved to the Youngstown area in the late 1960's.

He was an 18 wheeler truck driver.  Dave worked for R & J Trucking Company in Boardman for 25 years, retiring in 2008. He also, enjoyed doing auto body work.

Dave is survived by six children, David (Amy) Razo of New Middletown, Brenda (Dean) Davis of Warren, Cindy Tudor of Boardman, Linda (Mike) Mayberry of Campbell, Charles (Milisa) Louk and Jackie Veon , both of Youngstown; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; a brother Tom; three sisters, Evelyn, Lee and Alta.

Besides his parents, Dave was preceded in death by four brothers, Clarence, Don, Ike and David; and two sisters, Nancy and Hazel.

There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at Pappa's Sports Club Hall, 1638 Poland Avenue in Youngstown on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 1 pm with Reverend Rusty Wills officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that material tributes take the form of contribution to Thompson Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman, Ohio  44512 to help with funeral expenses.
