Cindy A. Nixon Shaffer

Boardman: Cindy A. Nixon Shaffer, 62 of Boardman, died Friday, July 13, 2012 at Saint Elizabeth Health Center.

She was born November 6, 1949 in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of the late Earl E. and Anna (White) Nixon. Her family moved to the Youngstown area when she was a child and she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1968.

Cindy was a hairdresser for over 35 years and owned and operated Attitude's Hair Salon in Austintown, retiring in 2006.

She is survived by three children: Kimberly S. (Paul) Reed of Valparaiso, Indiana, Shelley L. (Nick) Davies of Austintown and Casey A. Shaffer of Boardman, five grandchildren; Ashley Webber, Alex Webber, Emily Reed, Andrew Yantis and Olivia Davies, and her sister Jennifer L. Nixon of Boardman.

Private services were held on Friday. There are no calling hours.

Arrangements were handled by Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman.
