Charles William Gill, Jr.

Boardman: Charles William Gill, 91 passed away Friday morning, March 22, 2013 at Hospice House, Poland.

He was born January 6, 1922 in Cochranton, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Charles W. and Erma T (Ridgeway) Gill, Sr.

Charles graduated from South High School and was an Air Force veteran, serving during World War II. After the war, Charles enlisted into the Air Force Reserve and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.

He worked at Youngstown Sheet & Tube in Youngstown and later for Greif Brothers in New York.

Charles was a member of Saint Dominic Church and a member of the Mill Creek Park Men's Golf League.

His wife the former Dorothy L. Bigelow, died August 8, 2010.

Charles is survived by his daughter Veronica A. Leigh of Boardman, a granddaughter and four great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a son Charles W. Gill, III.
