Betty Jane Plunkett

Boardman: There will be funeral services on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman for Betty Jane Plunkett, 73 who died Friday, July 6, 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic.

Betty was born November 28, 1938 in Dixionville, Pa. the daughter the late Urald and Della (Stuchell) Dye. Betty moved to the Youngstown area in the 1950's.

She was a member of Saint Luke Church and formerly worked at K mart Department Store in Boardman.

Betty is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald F. Plunkett whom she married on September 13, 1958, four children; Veronica A. (Kenny) Wright of New Middletown, Ronald M. (Lyn) Plunkett of Oviedo, Fla, Denise M. Smidt of Boardman, and Timothy D. Plunkett of Boardman, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, six sisters; Helen Morey, Pearl Johnston, Jean Rouser, Margaret Makin, Lane Kirsch, Skeeter Trout, all from Pa., two brothers; Richard Dye of New York, and James Dye of Ohio.

Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a grandson, Cody Plunkett and four brothers; Bill Dye, Woody Dye, Pete Dye and Bob Dye.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m at Thompson Funeral Home, Boardman.
