Betty E. Nobile, 89 Boardman: There will be funeral services on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Bridge of Hope Church, 7580 Glenwood Avenue, Boardman with Rev. Aaron Taylor and Rev. Doug Reed officiating for Betty E. Nobile, 89, who passed away Wednesday evening, Oct. 7, 2015 at Hospice House with her family by her side. Betty was born March 29, 1926 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Roy C. and Myrtle (Ripple) Wehr. She graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in 1944 and from Youngstown State University in 1971 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education. Betty was a school teacher for Austintown Middle School for over 16 years, retiring in 1987. She worked as a bank teller with Mahoning Bank and was a bookkeeper for Lickties gas station in Youngstown before starting her teaching career. She was an involved member of Bridge of Hope Church and enjoyed the Young at Heart Senior Citizen Group. Betty was a member of the Austintown Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed crocheting, counted cross stitch, oil painting, reading, playing golf and spending time with her family and friends, especially her three grandsons. Betty is survived by her daughter, Bonnie J. (Terry) Collings of Austintown; three grandsons, Rev. Aaron (Jamie) Taylor of Painesville, Noel (Chelsea) Taylor of Woodstock, Ga. and Jared (Jess) Taylor of Kent; and 5 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Nobile, whom she married on March 26, 1949 and died September 19, 2007; and a brother, Ronald D. Wehr. Family and friends may call on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Bridge of Hope Church, Boardman. The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, Oh. 44514 or to Bridge of Hope Church, 7580 Glenwood Ave. Boardman, Oh. 44512, in memory of Betty.
