Betty Marie Morgan, 82
Austintown: There will be funeral services on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 1463 Shields Road, Boardman for Betty Marie Morgan, 82 who died Monday morning, April 4, 2011 at Sterling House.
She was born December 10, 1928 in Barberton, Ohio the daughter of the late Oakley and Ann Hetrick.
Betty graduated from Barberton High School in 1947 and moved to the Youngstown area. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Bethany Class. She was a longtime volunteer at Southside Hospital and enjoyed cooking.
Her husband William J. Morgan whom she married on December 29, 1949, died July 3, 2009.
She is survived by a son Bruce (Thesa) Morgan of Chattanooga, Tennessee, two brothers; Dick (Peg) Hetrick of Chagrin Falls, Ohio Russ (Lil) Hetrick of Bellevue, Ohio, two grandchildren Rachael Scruggs and Will Scruggs.
Besides her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by her brothers; Lee Hetrick, Sam Hetrick, Don Hetrick, Llyod Hetrick, Theordore Hetrick, Guy Keith Hetrick and two sisters Ruth Porter and Thelma Fowler.
Friends may call on Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market Street, Boardman and on Friday, April 8th from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Calvary Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 1463 Shields Road, Boardman, Ohio 44512.
